A MEDICAL ONCOLOGIST treats cancer using chemotherapy, other medications, targeted therapy or immunotherapy.

A SURGICAL ONCOLOGIST performs biopsies to determine the nature of the tumor. He also removes the tumor and nearby tissue during surgery.

A RADIATION ONCOLOGIST treats cancer using radiation therapy.
